The Research Center for Productivity is an academic research unit without legal personality, working in the Department of Economics and Economic Policies of the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Economics at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

The Center promotes research, education and consultancy in productivity studies, with a strong focus on digital transformation, SME competitiveness, productivity data and evidence-based public policies.

APRIL 2019

Interim Reporting Seminar & Policy Practitioner's Workshop

RCP representatives participated in Seoul in KSP activities focused on productivity strategy, SME innovation and institutional design.

MAY 2019

Official inauguration

The Center was inaugurated at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies during the KSP 2018–2019 activities with Romania.

JUNE 2019

Advanced Policy Practitioners' Workshop

Researchers and public sector representatives deepened cooperation in Seoul on productivity statistics, TFP and productivity systems.

JANUARY 2021

Launch of the digitalization and SMEs project

A flagship project funded through KSP began, connecting productivity, digital transformation and public governance.

AUGUST 2021

Final Reporting Workshop

Partners discussed research results and the proposal for a productivity database to support Romanian digital policy.

2022–2025

Scientific networking and new proposals

Participation in CompNet ProdTalks and KSP project proposal activities continued the Center's international engagement.
